• 1. Where can I download a trial version of Karsa Monitor?
  The free trial can be downloaded here , it is valid for 14 days.
• 2. Do I have to pay Karsa Monitor for the downloaded webpages?
  No, Karsa Monitor´s users don´t pay for the downloaded webpage. Data actualisation is FREE at any time and on any interval.
• 3. Do I need to know HTML coding?
  No, you don´t. The project configuration takes place in well organised graphics interface of a „point and click“ system. The follow-up data actualization works automatically. Therefore you do not have to be a specialist to work with Karsa Monitor.
• 4. What happens if I add a new product in retail? Will I have to do the project configuration again?
  No, you don´t have to do the project configuration again. Once you define the category you want to monitor, Karsa Monitor will display (scrape) newly added product and match it with the competitive item. Newly added products is downloaded automatically and labeled with the status „New“ and matched in case it has an equivalent in a competitive i-store. Moreover, you can apply the filter „New products“ to your source and gather well-arranged report of the newly added product information.
• 5. Can I get a list of discounted products, that my competitors are currently offering on sale?
  Yes, you can gather competitive pricing information on products which are just being offered on sale if the monitored i-store allows it. Thanks to this you can save your time and get reports of discounted competitive products automatically. Beside of this you can download various pricing information (i.g. common – cancelled price; recommended price or discounted price).
• 6. How does the matching process work with Karsa Monitor?
  Karsa Monitor matches the products automatically using “Matching Manager“. The user defines which subject he wants to be matched, the most common is the product name or product part number. The final matching results are possible to improve thanks to the user´s Matching Manager setting. In combination with hand-pointing you can attain 100 percent accuracy with our matching.
• 7. Can I integrate Karsa Monitor with my information system?
  Yes, you can. Karsa Monitor provides normalized csv output, which you can integrate with any application.
• 8. Is it possible to work with downloaded and matched data in MS Excel?
  Yes, it is. You can export all data in csv document and open it in MS Excel or copy the information and paste it directly onto the Excel table.
• 9. Is it possible to monitor automatically, product prices of different brands, but with identical parameters and match them afterwards?
  Yes, it is. You can employ the function „Add firm matching“. Thanks to this function you can also match products of different names. However, the first matching does not go automatically, the user can use the hand pointing. The biggest advantage of firm product matching is that after setting it once, you always match these items automatically.
• 10. Is the web data extraction the only way I can import data into Karsa Monitor?
  No, it is not. You can also import data to Karsa Monitor from a csv document.
• 11. Does Karsa Monitor allow data export?
  Yes, you can export particular sources as well as matched data.
